I am a preschool teacher and this book is great. We can spend a whole week on this book. We create our own small pond bulletin board there is just so much imagination and creation that can go along with this book.
The children love to search for the frog on each page. Place the burrow on the pond after discussing why animals live in the burrow. Children should be taught that the rabbits hide from larger animals as well as keep their babies safe in the burrow.
This also keeps them warm and protects them from some of the elements.
